Intuitive Movements & Breath provides customized programing, facilitation and wellness events at corporate meetings, and professional workshops and conferences.
Integrative movements and postures are a great way to improve your balance, endurance, strength and capacity for physical activities whether recovering from a sports injury, improving chronic conditions, or recreational activities. Regular practice improves range of motion, releases tension and aids towards injury prevention or recovery.
Breath and somatic work, meditation, and mindfulness practices can also lower stress, improve sleep and mood. Reap the rewards of learning techniques that are accessible and helpful. Take a break from daily life in order to focus on you, feel better and improve clarity.
A driven legal professional, working in public service, and long-time single mom, Josie has always enjoyed being physically active including practicing different movement, breath, and meditation-based activities.
But these holistic modalities later took on even greater significance with her own first-hand experience navigating burnout, caregiver fatigue, grief, anxiety/PTSD and injury/chronic pain.
With the wisdom and understanding that comes from lived experience, combined with thousands of hours of professional training, Josie now helps others navigate their journey and healing and, in the process, supports persons struggling with grief, pain, trauma, and chronic stress or burnout reclaim their lives and finding greater self-compassion, well-being and ease.
Josie is a workplace wellness advocate, a frequent conference speaker, and workshop facilitator.
Josie is completing her IAYT yoga therapist credentials. She is already a certified mindfulness facilitator and yoga teacher for children, teens, and adults of all ages. Josie is also a Level 2 iRest meditation and yoga nidra teacher. She has undergone many other trainings including in compassion, trauma sensitive yoga training, and therapeutic Pilates.
When not teaching or facilitating workshops, Josie provides somatic coaching drawing also from her Somatic Experiencing (Advanced-level) training for people living with the effects of trauma and pain.
